Wendy, Receptionist
Wendy, our receptionist, has worked in dentistry for over 30 years. She has enjoyed the industry that has given her the opportunity to build many relationships with patients while helping, chatting and having a laugh.
She was born in Maple Ridge, grew up in Sechelt, and returned to Pitt Meadows with her husband to raise their three lovely daughters.
She enjoys entertaining family and friends as well as hiking, biking, concerts and walking Lola, their golden lab puppy.
Kelly, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kelly has been a dedicated professional in the dental field for over 20 years, and her passion for patient care shines through in every aspect of her work. Kelly began her career as a Certified Dental Assistant, where she expanded her knowledge and skills, particularly in orthodontic care and myofunctional therapy support. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to achieve her Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license, where she continues to excel.
With extensive experience in the dental field, Kelly is known for her ability to provide comprehensive, personalized care to each patient. Her extensive background in various aspects of dentistry, combined with her dedication to patient comfort and education, allows her to make a real difference in the lives of those she serves.
Kelly was born and raised in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and currently resides in Maple Ridge with her husband and their three children. Outside of her career, Kelly is an avid crafter and enjoys staying busy with a variety of creative projects. Whether it’s in the dental office or at home with her family, Kelly thrives on making a positive impact and enjoys every moment of her busy life.
Shelley, Certified Dental Assistant
Shelley is a Certified Dental Assistant with over 35 years in practice and is still enjoying her profession. As she says, “New procedures and new products have us learning all the time!” Shelley was first trained as a chairside assistant and worked full time while she attended Vancouver Vocational Institute’s night school, completing her certification in 1983, with an additional orthodontic certification acquired in 1986. She is an active member of the B.C. FORT Forensic Dentistry Team. Shelley volunteers many Sundays to work on dental charts as part of the Missing and Unidentified Persons project.
Like all health care professionals, Shelley is trained in CPR, which she has performed successfully on two separate occasions. She will tell you, “It’s amazing to meet the people you helped later, it’s a skill everyone should have.”
Shelley joined our team in 2015. Having lived in Maple Ridge all her life, Shelley is thrilled to be able to work in her hometown. She trained in Tae Kwon Do for six years, culminating in her second degree black belt. These days she is an avid gardener, camper, fisherwoman and loves balancing good nutrition with dark chocolate!
